BTCPAY servers are now officially discontinued. If you received a suspension email you can ignore it.
UPDATE 3/30/2024:
This is the final notice about your BTCPAY services. At this point, you should have your server moved to another provider. If not IMMEDIATE ACTION IS REQUIRED!! Your services will be terminated on April 1st! Once this happens all data will be lost on both the main server and the backup servers and data recovery will not be possible and we will not be responsible for this. Please reread everything below so you are informed of what has been done during this discontinuation. This is your fourth and final notice.
UPDATE 3/15/24:
Attention all BTCPAY VPS Server customers: To ensure no further invoices are generated, your Payment account type has been set to FREE. Additionally, any existing invoices that were due have been canceled. If your invoice was due today or at any point this month, rest assured your services have been extended up to the termination deadline on April 1st.
It is crucial that all remaining customers secure a new provider and complete their migration before the April 1st cutoff. The importance of this cannot be overstated – once services are terminated, data recovery will not be possible and we will not be responsible for this. Please take the necessary steps suggested below to transition smoothly and avoid any loss of data.
Original Announcement:
It is with regret that we announce the discontinuation of our BTCPAY VPS server services. As initially communicated during the Beta phase, the permanence of these services was not guaranteed. Due to the current economic climate and rising inflation, we are unable to continue offering BTCPAY server services. All current BTCPAY server customers must transition to a new provider, as services will be terminated on April 1st, 2024.
BTCPAY's system simplifies migration with its backup and restore feature, including lightning server backup. We encourage you to utilize these tools for a smooth transition, as detailed in their documentation and the message on the backup page. Please note that we do not offer migration services for BTCPAY.
Please do not contact us about an extension. On April 1st your service will be terminated. Once this happens all data will be removed and will not be recoverable. So please ensure your BTCPAY server is backed up or migrated to a new provider.
We apologize for any inconvenience this decision may cause. Additionally, our Free BTCPAY Shared Services (available at https://btcpay.dreamlabnetwork.solutions) are not impacted by this change. We have also transitioned to exclusively providing support via email, ticket, and live chat, removing phone support.
The BTCPAY Shared Server will be down for an hour for critical updates. We will keep you updated and inform you once these updates have been completed.
